For this project, I was given a painting, a piece of fabric and a picture of the sofa and had to design a room that included all three of them into it. It was challenging for me because this is the first really modern room I have designed and it was very different from what I am used to. When I was researching modern design, there was very minimal color and accessories so it was challenging trying to place a red sofa which my client wanted into this room. All of the other furniture I chose was simple and sleek with minimal color to offset the bright sofa and chair. I chose a neutral color for the wall that contrasted with the bright red. Overall, I am pleased with the way this turned out and this project has expanded my thoughts of modern design.
