"From the Lake" - Georgia O' Keeffe

Creating an interesting lighting effect was not an easy task for me. After lots of trial and error, I finally designed a model that had meaning and really showed exactly what I was intending to portray. I was concentrating on recreating the waves of the lake in Georgia O' Keeffe's painting, From the Lake. It was a challenge for me to design something that would give the effect of motion and constant change. One of the things I focused on was how the light would transform the space as the day went on and the sun was setting. The light and the wave effect would dance across the room, much like the waves of the lake before a storm.
