A trip to New York would not be complete without eating at the Carnegie Deli. Famous for there oversized sandwiches and cheesecake, this place has served everybody who is anybody in the world of entertainment, politics and sports. The tables here are tight so you are likely to make new friends. The wait staff is friendly and the food comes lightning fast. I tried the Woody Allen ($24.95). This is a huge sandwich that can feed 2-4 people. They charge $3 extra if you share the sandwich. The huge piles of Corned Beef and Pastrami were super fresh and delicious. I ate about 1/4 of the beast and saved room for a few bites of the best Cheesecake on the planet. Love the Fresh Strawberry Cheesecake ($9.95). Rich and dense with deep cheesecake flavor. The strawberries were large and sweet. This is the bomb. We tried the Meat Knishes. My friend loved it. I thought it needed gravy or some ketchup. Everyone should enjoy a meal at Carnegie Deli once in their lives. Just the wow factor of the sandwiches is worth the visit.
