Thanks to my sister who lives in California, we were able to get 18 family members together at a single table for dinner. The place was BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse in Huntington Beach. BJ's set up a very long table in the back of the restaurant to accommodate our party. While the service started at a very slow pace, the waiter and other employees got it together and had the food and drinks flowing at a rapid pace. They worked hard to get all of the appetizers out and then serve all the main dishes at one time. Pretty amazing when you consider the entire restaurant and bar were packed during this prime time Friday night. I sampled several dishes and here and thought they all were very good. Would order every single one of them over again. The menu at BJ's in huge. It is not your average pizza joint. Our table had everything from steak to pasta, chicken, salads and fish. Here is a list of a few of the items our group enjoyed. Best Beginnings Appetizer Platter ($16.95), Spinach and Artichoke Dip with Chips ($9.25), Spinach Stuffed Mushrooms ($4.50), Calamari ($9.75), Ahi Poke ($9.25), BBQ Chicken Pizza ($24.25), Pepperoni Pizza ($17.75, BBQ Chopped Salad ($12.50), Parmesan Chicken ($13.50), Chile and Cheese Potato ($8.95), Thai, Mango and Avocado Salad ($10.95), Hawaiian Mahi Mahi ($17.95), Rib Eye Steak ($17.95), Grilled Chicken with Pasta ($13.50), Spaghetti with Meat Sauce ($10.50). I did not get photos of many of the items at the table as I was too busy getting caught up on the happenings with family I have not seen in a long time. The meal ended with a huge cookie topped with ice cream. This thing was the bomb. I loved the food at BJ's and would not hesitate and return to enjoy a good meal and bottle of wine.
